What are some sad songs that you have heard? Mine would have to be "Hurt" by Johnny Cash.

There is one song they play on the radio that choked me up the first time I had heard it. But I can't remember the name, all I remember is that the singer was female. If I get the name, I'll post it here. But there are plenty of movie songs that I would call sad: Goodbye May Seem Forever - The Fox and the HoundBaby Mine - DumboSomeone's Waiting For You - The RescuersAnd maybe a few more.

Pie Jesu - Andrew Lloyd Webber's Requiem Fallen Embers - sung by Enya Pilgrim's Hymn - (composed by Stephen Paulus) Bogoroditse Devo - (composed by Sergei Rachmaninoff)

If I get the name, I'll post it here. Did the singer have a country voice, a deep voice, a soft voice, or a high voice? Was it all or none? Also. was this song being played several times an hour - as in was it new and popular? Can you remember any key words or phrases from it, also what was it about? Thanks.

One of the lyrics was "You are the wind beneath my wings". In fact, that might be the name of the song. I'm sure it came out in the 90s or before that time. It's probably too old to be popular now.
