Aniyu awoke from her sweet sleep, hearing an owl hooting near by. She ignored the sound, but now she couldn't get back to sleep. The wolf got up and walked around the forest just for something to do, when she decided to visit the pond. Aniyu stepped into the warm water, staying in the shallows of the pond. She continued to walk in the pond until she was in water up to her shoulders. Taking a drink, the wolf looked up at the sky, enjoying the site of a full moon. Unable to help herself, she let out a musical howl to the grand white sphere in the sky.

Boso was awakened from a deep slumber by a long, musical howl. The sound alarmed him. He remembered his mother being attacked and nearly killed by a wolf in his first winter. Frightened, he slipped quietly away into the depths of the woods.

Aniyu heard a noise in the forest around the pond. Curious, she got out of the water and began to search for the source of the sound. "Hello?" she called out. She walked quietly on the forest floor, trying to find whatever it was. The brilliant pale moon illuminated her fur, and reflected off of her blue sapphire eyes.

It was a beautiful, warm night. Bambi was sleeping, content, under a flowered bush. But she was a light sleeper. An owl hooted rather loudly, waking her up a bit.
Bambi stretched a bit and looked up at the stars against the faded blue sky. How beautiful the sight was. The stars looked like fragments from a diamond shattered into a million pieces.
Then Bambi heard something she wasn't expecting. She heard the howl of a wolf. Truly alarmed, Bambi sprung up onto her feet, newly energized. Her gaze darted all around as she followed the echo of the howl.
Bambi wasn't one to let adventure and mystery escape her grip, so remembering Renton's tips on how to walk quietly, Bambi slipped away into the direction of the Sapphire Pond.

Renton was asleep in his thicket until his ears pricked up to hear the loneful yet musical cry of a wolf. He raised his head to wonder where and how far the wolf might have been. When he judged that it was far away, he felt relieved and lowered his head down to go back to sleep. Then he thought of Bambi and her safety at night in the Eirest Green, so he stood up and got out of his thicket to go check on her. He walked through the woods quietly and carefully so that the wolf could not possibly see him and go after him.

As Boso creeped deeper into the forest, he caught a glimpse of Renton heading toward the Sapphire Pond. He wondered what buisiness he had there. Surely he had heard the wolf's cry. Thinking carefully, Boso decided to follow Renton back to Sapphire Pond in case he ran into trouble.

Aniyu still walked in the forest, wondering what on earth had made the sound. She followed it with her ears while still calling, "Hello? Is anybody out there?" She quickend her pace a little when whatever it was changed directions.

Bambi heard the sounds of at least two deer walking near the Sapphire Pond, one very near to where she was. It's Renton! she realized suddenly. More terror flooded into her as she heard a heavier creature walking there as well. At once she began to fear for his safety and the safety of the other deer with Renton.
A ripping chill ran through Bambi as she heard a "Hello?" It was a voice she didn't recognize. It was the voice of the heavy creature - the creature that she knew was a wolf.
Bambi dove into a bush near the Sapphire Pond, deciding that she would wait until the wolf, Renton and the other deer either disappeared or revealed themselves. She hoped that everything would be alright. Bambi winced as a rustling sound exploded from the bush as she jumped into it.

"Hello? Is anybody out there?"
Renton froze to study the voice. It was the kind that he had never heard before. This brought uncertainty to him, because it might have been the wolf that made that howl, but he wasn't absolutely positive on that. He continued his walk toward the Sapphire Pond until he noticed the silhouette of a fawn. He couldn't tell if it was Bambi, so he called out in hushed tones, "Bambi, is that you?"

Bambi heard a voice say, "Bambi, is that you?" Joy rushed through her as she realized at the same time that a fellow deer was here with her, and that the owner of the voice was Renton. Part of Bambi wanted to rush out and embrace Renton, but she still feared the wolf.
Bambi quietly crept out of the large bush, squinting as she tried to make out Renton in the darkness. But Bambi's eyes, used to this since her time in the Eirest Green, soon became adjusted to the night. Bambi made out the still figure of a deer. It was Renton!
Bambi trotted as quietly as she could to Renton. However, she stopped as a funny idea to ease her fear entered her mind. Smiling at her plan, she ducked lower to the ground and crept around Renton. She came up, silently, behind him, and nudged his tail playfully with her head.
